TOSA - Teacher on Special Assignment - Technology



Position Summary

The employee serves as a teacher leader and specialist in technology applications and systems to support all content areas K-12. The employee facilitates professional development related to the school and district’s instruction and curriculum goals aligned with demonstrated instructional/professional needs. As a leader and specialist, the employee works with, coaches, and supports other teachers and support staff in identifying, developing, and implementing curriculum, assessment and instructional strategies designed to improve student learning in specific areas. As a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), the employee may work in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching settings. The TOSA shares in the responsibility for student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare.

Instructor - College of Education



Job Goal:

The College of Education invites applications for a part-time (0.49 FTE), 9-month, fixed-term professional faculty instructor position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.

The purpose of this Instructor position is to foster critical thinking, advance students’ knowledge, and develop skills through the teaching of Teacher Education discipline/courses and supervision of student teaching practical. The incumbent is expected to provide an intellectual foundation for teacher licensure candidates. The courses serve students in our Teaching Licensure programs.

This position will be based in the Portland, OR metro area and is responsible for teaching and supervising Masters students in the Teaching MAT program. This includes teaching E-campus hybrid or fully online courses. This is a teaching and advising-related appointment involving advising graduate students; participating in college and university service activities; pursuing professional development; and acting as a liaison with partnering school districts. The MAT Instructor delivers courses and supports development of courses that model the use of current research, a cohort learning model, equity and social justice within course design and facilitation. This instructor also promotes cross-cultural communication and collaboration for diverse learners.

Associate Director Secondary Education



Position Summary

Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating all functions of secondary education program including curriculum, instruction, assessment, staffing, training, program evaluation, student retention engagement, and college and career readiness. Emphasis will be on implementation of instructional college and career readiness and leadership of multi-tiered systems of support. (e.g., Response to Intervention) Works closely with high and middle schools to support the administrative, teaching, and support staff.
